A note from the designer

This 6 seater dining set is part of our flagship Palermo dining collection. We took everything that made our previous rattan dining collections popular and made them even better. This set is expertly crafted using intricately woven polyrattan that mimics the organic look of rattan with superior durability. The real star of the show? The poly wood table top. We’ve gone to great lengths to create a table top that mimics the appearance of real wood as authentically as possible, rather than looking artificial. Plus, seat and back cushions make sure you’re sitting comfortably during mealtimes and beyond.

Cleaning & care

How long does polyrattan furniture last?

Polyrattan garden furniture can last as much as 20 years outdoors, even if left out all winter.

Can I leave my polyrattan furniture outside during winter?

While our polyrattan furniture sets can be kept outside all year, we would still advise you to store it indoors where possible, or cover it with a breathable cover in order to maintain the condition of your furniture for as long as possible. If covering your furniture, it is also a good idea to move it and clean the area underneath every few months in order to prevent any buildup of dirt.

How do I clean polyrattan garden furniture?

Simply fill a bucket of lukewarm, soapy water and use a soft sponge or cloth to gently clean your furniture, before washing off any soap with cold water. Remove cushions before cleaning and do not use a pressure washer as this can damage the material. We do not recommend using any abrasive, chemical cleaning products on your furniture unless recommended by a professional.

How can I prolong the life of my furniture?

Where possible, we recommend storing your furniture indoors during winter (such as inside a shed or outbuilding) to protect it from any harsh weather. If this is not possible, we advise using a protective furniture cover and storing any cushions inside.

Can I leave my cushions outside?

Although using a furniture cover or outdoor storage box can provide a level of protection, we always recommend removing cushions and storing them indoors during the winter or any harsh weather spells in order to maintain their condition as well as possible.

Can I machine wash my cushions?

We advise handwashing polyspun cushions by rinsing them in a bowl of warm, soapy water and then a bowl of plain water. Machine washing is at the customer's discretion and would need to be done on a very gentle cycle to avoid the risk of shrinkage or distortion. MINT cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by machine washing cushions.

What happens if I spill something on my cushions?

Spot clean any spillages by gently blotting the affected area with a clean cloth or sponge, using a solution of mild soap and lukewarm water. Refrain from scrubbing harshly, as this can cause the stain to spread. Afterward, rinse the area well with clean water and let it air dry.

Do I need to do any regular maintenance on my polyspun cushions?

Simply brush off any loose dirt and debris using a soft bristled brush or a vacuum cleaner on a gentle setting.

Can I deep clean my polyspun cushions?

For more thorough cleaning, simply use warm soapy water. Use a sponge or soft brush to apply the water to the fabric, gently working it in. Afterward, rinse the area well with clean water to eliminate any soap residue, then let the fabric dry completely in the air.

THE DESIGN

  • AUTHENTIC WOOD-EFFECT

We set ourselves the challenge of creating the most authentic looking polywood table top possible, so you get superb durability without sacrificing its rustic charm.

  • COCOONED SUPPORT

A high-sided backrest and arms means Palermo's chairs are extra supportive, so you can make your lunches as leisurely as you like.

  • SUBTLE CURVES

The chairs have a softly curved silhouette, while the tables in the Palermo range are round and oval shapes, helping to create a natural, organic feel.

THE ENGINEERING

  • WEATHER RESISTANT

Whether it’s a rain shower, beating sunshine or gusty winds, polyrattan is robust enough to withstand the elements without cracking.

  • INTRICATE WEAVE

The Palermo collection has one of our more intricate woven constructions with a 3D feel. This is more complex and time consuming to produce, making it a more premium option.

  • UV RESISTANT

Despite being exposed to sunlight, polyrattan retains its colour and will not fade as quickly as traditional rattan, so your furniture will stay looking fresher for longer.

  • FOAM FILLED

Thick and comfortable foam that provides stable support and bounces back into shape

  • LONGLASTING DURABILITY

Soft, comfortable and hardwearing, combining the relaxed feel of an indoor sofa with the durability needed for outdoor life

  • EASILY REMOVABLE

Simply un-attach the cushions for simple cleaning and storage during the winter.

  • PREMIUM FINISH

Expect a beautiful wood-effect finish that looks just like the real thing. We've spent plenty of time refining it until it's just right.

  • TOUGH RESISTANCE

Polywood offers supreme durability, making it well-qualified for life outdoors. There's no need to worry about splitting, corrosion or insect damage which can impact real wood.

  • LOW MAINTENANCE

Keeping polywood clean is simple. A quick wipe over with soap and water is enough to keep it fresh. Unlike traditional wood, you also won't need to apply any oil or varnishes.
