Furniture priced fairly, not the way retail forces it to be.
At MINT Outdoor, we spend on quality materials, not costly overheads — and pass the savings on to you.
Quality design, without the markup
We started MINT Outdoor because good garden furniture kept getting priced for a business model, not for a garden. Every warehouse, every pallet of unsold stock sitting through a rainy winter, every extra stage between a workshop and your patio — someone pays for that, and it's usually you.
So a few years ago we set out to build things differently: make what people actually want, hold as little stock as possible, and let the savings flow straight back into the price tag rather than costly warehousing. We're still a small company, and we like it that way — it means our energy goes into better design and better materials, not a bigger head office.
Why we sell mostly to order
Most of what we sell is made to order. Rather than filling a UK warehouse with guesses about what might sell, we let demand set production — your piece is made and shipped straight from our manufacturing partner to our specialist furniture delivery partners and delivered straight into your garden.
Some ranges are ready to ship straight away; others are made to order. Either way, the exact timeframe is always shown clearly on the product page before you buy, so there are no surprises.
Industry estimates put the cost of warehousing unsold stock at around 20–30% of its value every year — a cost most retailers build straight into their prices. Cutting that step out is a big part of how we keep ours so competitive.
Why we chose the name MINT
We're passionate about helping people transform their outdoor spaces, whatever that means for them. It may be a full garden overhaul or just somewhere nicer to sit with a coffee. Nothing makes us happier than scrolling through the photos our customers leave in their reviews and seeing a garden come together.
Mint
As in mint condition — the promise behind every piece we make: honestly built, carefully finished, and looking as good next summer as it did on day one.
A fresh start
As in the fresh start we want every garden to have — a blank canvas, a new season, a space that's actually worth spending time in.
Together, MINT is a fresh start for your garden — which is exactly why that's our tagline.
Made by hand, not by machine
Every MINT piece is expertly crafted by a dedicated team in Vietnam, where craftsmanship sits at the heart of everything they do. These are skilled makers, not a production line — people who've spent years learning their materials and take real pride in what leaves their workshop.
One of our most intricate designs takes two weavers three full days to hand-weave a single chair. It's a job only the most experienced weavers can do, because of how tightly the weave has to be worked.
Two weavers, working together, for three full days — that's what it takes to hand-weave just one chair in our most intricate design.
From our design table to your garden
Alongside our core collection sits MINT Originals: exclusive, limited-edition designs you won't find elsewhere, produced in small batches of just 10–15 pieces using premium materials like solid acacia wood, teak and hand-woven rope.

Furniture that's built to outlast the first season
Buying garden furniture is only half the job, keeping it looking good is the other half, and it's the half most retailers leave you to figure out alone. That's why bundles sit at the heart of how we sell: pair your set with a protective cover, a cushion storage box, or both, and you've got a simple system for keeping cushions dry, fabric shielded from UV, and frames free from the kind of weather damage that ages furniture years before its time.
A protective cover to shield the whole set from rain, sun and frost when it's not in use.
A cushion box to keep fabric dry and mildew-free between sunny days.
Full protection, front and back — our most popular bundle.
When it's the cushions that wear out — not the furniture
Cushions can often show signs of wear long before the rest of your furniture needs replacing. Rather than push you towards buying a whole new set, we sell replacement cushion sets and made-to-order cushions cut to match your existing furniture, at a fraction of the cost of buying new. It's a small thing, but it's exactly the kind of small thing that saves you hundreds and keeps hundreds of pieces of furniture out of landfill.
A small, experienced team — not a call centre
MINT Outdoor is run by a lean, remote team with decades of combined experience in the industry. Between us, we've spent years working for large furniture manufacturers and retailers, designing ranges, buying and sourcing materials and thinking through what customers actually need from a piece of garden furniture. All of that experience now goes directly into MINT.
Being smaller than the big high street names also changes what happens when you get in touch. There's no script and no passing you between departments, just someone who knows the product answering you directly.
Quality doesn't stop at our end either. We work with a dedicated quality control team based at our manufacturing facilities, checking our furniture before it leaves for the UK.

Where we want to take MINT next
Return & Refresh
Over time, everyone wants to refresh their garden. Our Return & Refresh scheme lets you trade in your MINT piece for a new design further down the line — we take back the original, recycle the materials into future furniture, and pass the saving on as a discount off your next set.
Working towards B Corp
We want to become one of the first outdoor furniture makers to be a certified B Corp. Producing to order, choosing sustainable materials, and recycling old pieces back into new ones are steps on that road, and we've got further to go yet — but it's the direction we're building towards.
