How can I prolong the life of my furniture?
Where possible, we recommend storing your furniture indoors during winter (such as inside a shed or outbuilding) to protect it from any harsh weather. If this is not possible, we advise using a protective furniture cover and storing any cushions inside.
How do I clean aluminium garden furniture?
Simply use warm soapy water and a sponge or soft bristled brush to clean any dirt or grime on your aluminium garden furniture. Clean with plain water afterwards to make sure no soap is left on the furnitute. Be sure to remove the cushions before cleaning and do not use a pressure washer as this can damage the material. We do not recommend using any abrasive, chemical cleaning products on your furniture unless recommended by a professional.
Can I leave my aluminium furniture outside during winter?
While our aluminium furniture sets can be kept outside all year, we would still advise you to store it indoors where possible, or cover it with a breathable cover in order to maintain the condition of your furniture for as long as possible. If covering your furniture, it is also a good idea to move it and clean the area underneath every few months in order to prevent any buildup of dirt.
How do I care for teak garden furniture?
Day-to-day, simply wiping your teak furniture with a soft brush or cloth should be sufficient. For a deeper clean, apply warm soapy water to the furniture and scrub lightly. Once it's clean, hose down with clean water and allow to dry naturally. Avoid pressure washing your furniture as this can cause damage. Teak furniture will develop an attractive silver patina over time. If you wish to prevent this, use a specialist teak cleaner and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid using teak oil products as these can encourage the growth of mould and mildew.
