How can I prolong the life of my furniture?

Where possible, we recommend storing your furniture indoors during winter (such as inside a shed or outbuilding) to protect it from any harsh weather. If this is not possible, we advise using a protective furniture cover and storing any cushions inside.

Do I need to do any regular maintenance on my olefin cushions?

Simply brush off any loose dirt and debris using a soft bristled brush or a vacuum cleaner on a gentle setting.

What happens if I spill something on my olefin cushions?

Spot clean any spillages by gently blotting the affected area with a clean cloth or sponge, using a solution of mild soap and lukewarm water. Refrain from scrubbing harshly, as this can cause the stain to spread. Afterward, rinse the area well with clean water and let it air dry.

Can I machine wash my cushions?

We advise handwashing polyspun cushions by rinsing them in a bowl of warm, soapy water and then a bowl of plain water. Machine washing is at the customer's discretion and would need to be done on a very gentle cycle to avoid the risk of shrinkage or distortion. MINT cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by machine washing cushions.

Can I deep clean my olefin cushions?

For more thorough cleaning, simply use warm soapy water. Use a sponge or soft brush to apply the water to the fabric, gently working it in. Afterward, rinse the area well with clean water to eliminate any soap residue, then let the fabric dry completely in the air.

How do I clean my garden furniture?

Simply use warm soapy water and a sponge or soft bristled brush to clean any dirt or grime on your aluminium garden furniture. Clean with plain water afterwards to make sure no soap is left on the furniture. Be sure to remove the cushions before cleaning and do not use a pressure washer as this can damage the material. We do not recommend using any abrasive, chemical cleaning products on your furniture unless recommended by a professional.

Can I leave my furniture outside during winter?

While our aluminium furniture sets can be kept outside all year, we would still advise you to store it indoors where possible, or cover it with a breathable cover in order to maintain the condition of your furniture for as long as possible. If covering your furniture, it is also a good idea to move it and clean the area underneath every few months in order to prevent any buildup of dirt.

Is there any specific maintenance I need to do for eucalyptus wood furniture?

Avoid using detergent-based soaps and opt for a natural soap where possible, as this will help to preserve the condition of your furniture. In order to retain the wood's tone for as long as possible, avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight and apply linseed or tung oil approximately every six months.
